Grapevine Plumbing- 3 Great Ways to Unclog the Drain

by Jason Flores
A clogged drain can be a worst problem. You tend to wait for the water to go down, and you'll wait for short while. Then you'll notice that it is not happening or it doesn't happen fast enough as you expected. What could possibly be down there? You may consider running to a nearby store to purchase some Liquid-Plumr, but you'll realize it's price is unreasonable. Isn't there a low-priced way of unclogging a drain? Maybe a few novice plumbing techniques? Well, the truth is, there are. Follow some of the great ways to unclog a drain using only natural techniques that would not cost you much.
 Facilitate the use of water.
Although it may sound imbecile, water can be a very excellent instrument in the plumbing war. Water pressure can be of great help if the drain is not that much clogged, so try it to remove the clog. If the clog happens to be in your bath tub, just fill the tub with about 30 gallons of water. This pressure will contribute a lot to eradicate even if there is just a small clog in the drain. Try it again if the first attempt is not successful.

Acetic Acid.
Vinegar is always available in our kitchen cabinets. Mix the vinegar together with a little amount of baking soda to make a homemade drain cleaner. Pour the mixture down the drain, by doing so you will notice that you're already participating in the easiest natural plumbing solutions that existed. With the help of a towel cover the drain to avoid the mixture from coming back out. Let 30 minutes to pass by and start pouring some boiling water down the drain. This strategy can even work for medium sized clogs..

Utilize a Plunger.
Most of you are probably used to bringing out the plunger to unclog the toilet, but it can work just as well on other clogs as well. Buy a smaller sized plunger and use it exclusively for  the kitchen sink. You'll realize that it is more capable of removing even the toughest clogs, most efficiently if it is used together with other unclogging regimen that uses all of the suggested solutions..

Definitely, there will be times when there is no solution to unclog a drain although you used a natural or chemical solution. During those instances, you should consult a plumbing professional. Attempting to fix the problem on your own can just increase the damage to your pipes and drainage. It will be worthy of every cent you've paid for.
